For colouring a movie, the time is the major factor for colouring process. Since one hour movie of frame rate of 30 has 108000 (60×60×30) frames, the process of colouring the movie frame by frame will cost so much money and effort and spend so much time. So we tried to find a way to minimize the number of frames needed to be colorized.
Since any movie consists of shots of similar frames, we thought about shot cut stage (key frames extraction, similar shots take the same colours, colorization of Key Frame & Shot Colorization using the motion vector) that should precedes the colorization step and only the key frames must be colorized by the system user and then the remaining frames should follow the same colours.
Mission
To emphasize on the appearance of black and white movies and recolor them to obtain near natural coloured movies that look like their original colours. In order to implement a powerful automatic colouring system that is suitable for colouring movies with high quality colours and in fast time as possible.
